Speech Language Pathologist Full-time

Lafayette Regional Health Center is a 25-bed acute care facility that is deeply rooted in the community it serves. Lafayette Regional includes all new private rooms with private baths, state-of-the art imaging and testing services, a full range of general and laparoscopic surgeries, wellness programs, and rehabilitation services. Lafayette Regional Health Center is currently looking for a Full-time Speech Pathologist to join our team!
Position Summary :
The speech pathologist functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed speech evaluation and therapy services in the hospital and outpatient clinic, to include both adult, pediatric, and school therapy services. The goal is to restore and or retain function, to prevent or minimize disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability and to be safe in the least restrictive environment.
Minimum Requirements :
Education : Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from accredited school required
Certifications : Current Missouri Speech Pathology licensure. Certificate of clinical competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). BLS required within 90 days of hire.
Experience : 1-3 years experience with pediatric and adult populations. Must have familiarity with neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia. Must be able to perform modified barium swallow studies. Microsoft Office skills and/or other computer skills preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
