Under administrative direction, the Med Surg Nursing Director assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of patient care. Provides administrative direction to development and evaluation of all nursing personnel. Acts as representative for nursing with the accompanying authority and responsibility for all nursing related patient care activities. Maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with administrative support services. Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of the philosophy, objectives, educational and research efforts.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accreditated school of nursing. Current licensure by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Supervision experience preferred. BSN preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as Charge/Staff R.N. Demonstration of supervisory and teaching ability.
